Unplug, breathe and let your brain settle-one pattern at a time. This is a relaxed, beginner friendly group where you'll create bold, satisfying strokes and repeated designs. It's calming, surprisingly fun and doesn't require "being good at art". We'll start with a quick affirmation to reset with an option to use breath or an affirmation when you feel your jaw, shoulder or hand tighten. Then learn a handful of easy tangles. We'll stick with the classic black pens of white paper with shading using a pencil and blending stump as an option. Work at your own pace either silently or to rhythmic music depending on group concensus. This is an effective way to use art for mindfulness or anxiety relief. Leave with something cool you made to keep, trade or gift. You may even be inspired to start your own journal.
